What you can claim
You are eligible if you purchased one or more of the Mid America Pet Food Products listed on Exhibit D that were recalled on September 3, October 30, or November 9, 2023. Each Household is only eligible to submit one Pet Injury Claim per pet and/or one Consumer Food Purchase Claim.
How payment works
Payments were variable, so each claimant's share depended on the number of valid claims filed. Each household could submit one pet injury claim per pet and one consumer food purchase claim.

Which products were covered?
The Mid-America Pet Food products listed in the settlement's Exhibit D that were recalled on September 3, October 30 or November 9, 2023. Three separate recall dates were covered, which is why the product list rather than a date range defined eligibility.
What could be claimed?
Two things, subject to household limits. A consumer food purchase claim covered the cost of the recalled food, and a pet injury claim covered harm to an animal that ate it. A household could file one pet injury claim per pet and one food purchase claim.
Was proof of purchase required?
No. Claims could be filed without receipts for the purchase side. A pet injury claim generally rests on veterinary records, since that is what connects the illness to the food, and those claims are what reached the higher end of the payment range.
