What this settlement covers

You lived in the United States and used a GoodRx website, app, or service before April 20, 2024.

The class covers natural persons in the United States who used any website, app, or service made available by or through GoodRx before April 20, 2024, including the GoodRx website and app, GoodRx Gold, HeyDoctor, and GoodRx Care. Defendants and their officers and directors, people who opt out, Meta, Google, and the judges on the case are excluded. The case is Jane Doe, et al. v. GoodRx Holdings, Inc., et al., No. 4:23-cv-00501-AMO, in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.

What you can claim

  • An equal share of the net settlement fund, up to $50.

How payment works

GoodRx and Criteo pay $32,000,000 into the settlement fund. Notice and administration costs, taxes, fund account costs, attorneys' fees of up to one-third of the fund plus up to $125,000 in expenses, and service awards of up to $2,000 for each named plaintiff come out first. What remains is the net fund. Each approved claim gets an equal share of that net fund, up to $50. An equal share means the payment falls when many people file, and the notice says the exact amount is not known until the claims are counted. You can take the payment by PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, a virtual prepaid card, or a check mailed to the address on the form. Nothing is paid until the court approves the settlement. The final approval hearing is February 11, 2027.

GoodRx Class Action Settlement FAQs

Common questions about this class action settlement.

Do I need a receipt?

No. The claim asks for your name, address, email, phone, a payment choice, and your signature. It does not ask for a GoodRx account, a prescription, or a receipt. Someone completing the form for another person has to attach proof they can act for that person. Sparrow files the claim for you, so that attachment does not apply.

Who is included?

Natural persons in the United States who used any website, app, or service made available by or through GoodRx before April 20, 2024. That includes the GoodRx website and app, GoodRx Gold, HeyDoctor, and GoodRx Care. Defendants and their officers and directors, people who exclude themselves, Meta, Google, and the judges on the case are not in the class. If you are unsure, the administrator can be reached at info@goodrxprivacysettlement.com or 1-877-888-9232.

How much will I get?

An equal share of the net settlement fund, up to $50. GoodRx and Criteo pay $32,000,000 into the fund. Notice and administration costs, taxes, attorneys' fees of up to one-third of the fund, expenses of up to $125,000, and service awards of up to $2,000 per named plaintiff are paid first. The notice says the exact payment depends on how many claims are approved, so it is not known in advance and a large number of claims lowers every payment. One claim per person, no matter how many notices you receive.

What am I certifying when Sparrow signs?

That you lived in the United States and used a GoodRx website, app, or service before April 20, 2024, and that the information on the claim is true, correct, and complete. The claim does not ask you to describe a specific prescription or a specific visit. Filing is how you ask for a share of the fund. If you do not file, you receive no payment and you stay bound by the settlement.

When is the deadline, and when is the payment sent?

Submit online at www.goodrxprivacysettlement.com by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on December 29, 2026, or mail the form postmarked by that date to GoodRx Data Disclosure Settlement, c/o A.B. Data, Ltd., P.O. Box 173138, Milwaukee, WI 53217. The court holds the final approval hearing on February 11, 2027. Payments go out only after the settlement is approved and any appeals end, which can take many months. A mailed check must be cashed within 60 days.
